Q: Are all your therapists the same?
A: No. All our therapists are certified, licensed and educated body workers. Each therapist has different ways of approaching the body and many have specialized in one modality or another. All our therapists will provide you with their best service, but you will also want to find one who fits your needs, temperament and style. It takes time develop a relationship with your therapist. Ask the front desk for recommendations, because we always try our best to make a great match.
Q: Do I need an appointment for spa services?
A: No. We accept walk-ins. However, it is much easier to have your selection of services if you give us plenty of heads up. The more notice the better, but we do our best to accommodate same-day requests.
Q: Is it possible to get a last minute appointment?
A: Yes, we sometimes are able to accomodate a last minute appointment. But our therapists are not always on site, so we may need some lead time before the service, but we will try to accommodate your request. However, Friday through Sunday and holidays are typically busy so you may need to be flexible in order for us to be able to accommodate a same-day request.
Q: Why do you need my credit card information to make an appointment?
A: We secure all appointments with credit card information to enforce our cancellation policy. We charge 50% of the services booked to the card on the file in case of late/same day cancellations and no shows.
Q: Do you offer showers after services?
A: We do not have shower facilities on-site. After your massage you will be offered a hot towel to remove excess lotion. Our saunas are dry and we provide cool towels to make yourself comfortable after your session.
Q: How can I get a discount?
A: Keep your eyes on our social media for limited-time offers. We also offer discount via text. Subscribe with the information located on our spa savings page. Finally, we do offer memberships and 5 packs at a discount as well.
Q: Can I bring my children?
A: We are a kid friendly spa. All childern must be supervised by an adult at all times. Children 12 years old or younger who are getting services must have a parent or guardian in the room at all times. Parents or guardians cannot get a service at the same time, unless it's one of our nail services.
Q: Can my teenager get services?
A: Yes. Our policy is that any teenagers between 13 and 18 years old will need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver on the back of the intake form. The parent or guardian should remain in the building but does not neccesarily have to be in the room with the therapist and the teenager. If the child is 12 or younger the parent will need to be sitting in the room with the therapist and the child.

A: Yes! We accommodate parties of all types. Please email us at info@skintouchtherapy.com and we will get you a spa party request form so we can start planning the details.
Q: Can I prepay a service for a friend?
A: Because of the personal nature of our services we encourage all clients to select their own services and therapists, so if you want to give the gift of zen we encourage you to pick up a gift card which will allow your friend to select exactly what they are looking for.
Q: Do I need to be naked to get a massage?
A: If you prefer to remain clothed during the massage there are many modalities we provide where the work accommodates this. Eastern Energy, Thai Yoga Massage, Reflexology and CranioSacral Massage can all be performed while you are in loose fitting clothing. In all the other modalities we will need to touch the skin, but you are welcome to remain in whatever underwear makes you feel most comfortable. Plenty of people are completely naked for their massage and many people also choose to leave their underwear on when. If you would like to keep your bra on and have work performed on the back, please do wear a bra that can be unhooked so we can access the whole back. The therapist will replace the hooks when they are finished with the back.
Q: What if the therapist is working on me and I feel like it's too much or too little pressure?
A: Communication is always key to getting the best experience with a therapist. If you do not like something, please let the therapist know immediately. If you feel uncomfortable with anything in the room, please let us know. Often we are able to adjust and create a better experience for you if we know you are uncomfortable. This goes doubly for the pressure of a massage. Please ask for more or less as you need. If the difference is subtle, therapists understand pressure on a scale of 1 to 10. You may say, “If this pressure is a 5, I’d prefer to have a 6 or a 7.”
Q: Do you have a waitlist?
A: We don't offer a waitlist but we encorage you to call the evening before or at 10am same day. We do accept cancellations up to 5pm the day before. So after 5pm, we may have available appointments to fill. Just call the spa locations and we will be happy to accomodate.
